Beans are probably one of my favorites. They are a great food and healthy for you. Of course, many prepared beans add ingredients in there that are not so good like the sugar and salt. I have eaten these kinds of beans. Other times, I will buy either canned black beans (or prepare my own), rinse them and mix them with egg whites in an omlette, etc. One good way is to buy a package of dried beans (and mix them up: navy, kidney, pea, etc.) and make only a small amount and refridgerate the rest. If you want to eat them becuase of the fiber and protien, you have selected a nice choice.

So they are kinda good to eat??
Hey also Uncle Ben's Wild Rice What do you think of that stuff. I know wild rice is good for ya. But maybe that company prepares it differently i am having the wild rice, Hominy, STEAK (fat cut off), and potatoes/onions/garlic on the grill with some extra virgin olive oil : / idk if that stuff is good or not..im disappointed that my mom had to put it in there but she said it will be okay so im trusting her.

Here is the Ingredients and nutrion facts on the rice.

You tell me what you think I'll only eat around maybe a cup of it or less. I'll eat 1 steak and around 1/2 cup of everything else maybe a cup of potatoes or whaveter. I just wanted to tell u my portion sizes so u could get an idea.

bush has lots of sugar in theirs. i got with van camp beans in tomato sauce. there are sugars, but its natural sugars from the tomato juice. and some added high fructose corn syrup  but not as much as bushs!! i used to eat bushs all the time, still healthy id say. but van camps has less calories also because of the sauce its in.

alright well im just not gonna eat them...This morning i had 2 poptarts and 1/2 cup of oatmeal... : / Poptarts are bad for you

I would stay away from packaged or prepared rice products. They have a lot of sodium and "other" things in there. Some good old brown rice and even some batsmati rice would be better.

And yes - beans are still king :) (of course right up there with yams, oatmeal, chicken and brocolli )

I agree. The packaged stuff is more convenient, but it's not going to help your fat loss. You have to consider everything in terms of what your goals are. For me, my goals are more important than "convenient" food.

beans and oatmeal are a staple in my diet. as much food as i eat, im pretty sure i would be fat if not for the megaton of fiber i consume every day.

If you want something convenient, beany, and generally healthy, try picking up some vegetarian chili. It's not as good as meaty chili, but for some reason the elimination of meat means the elimination of a bunch of other terrible stuff too. Go figure.

you need to never eat pop tarts again...they are a "poison" to the body...high sugar and processed flour.

I had this emailed to me once, and I will paste below the top foods you should eat and the worst foods:

Best: oatmeal, yams, brown rice, 100% whole grain products, broccoli, fresh fruit, non-fat milk products (yogurt, cott. cheese), chicken breast, egg whites

Worst: ice cream, fried foods, donuts/pasteries, white sugar, soda, fruit drinks, bacon, white bread, chips, hot dogs
