beamy's Diary

Hey all.

So I decided to start a diary after a horrible day of eating. I never thought I was one who ate their feelings, but tonight I had a revelation. I was feeling a bit down and, long story short, I ate a grilled cheese and curly fries. I had been doing so well for the past couple of days and now I'm so mad at myself!

Before coming to school I had developped great eating habits but it's hard to keep them up when all you've got it what the cafeteria serves you. I know that's probably just making excuses, but anyway... I'm still in school until December so after then it's going to be only stuff I cook. I still live in residence but have my own kitchen, it's just the going gorcery shopping that's hard.

So I'm going to start back at square 1 tomorrow and try to eat only good food. My current weight is somewhere around 215...I was at around 190 at the beginning of the summer. I want to lose at least 30 pounds by May 2- when I leave for vacation. For now I'm so busy with school work I find it difficult to find time to excersise. Hopefully when I'm back home I'm going to start swimming or running.

Right...so that's all for now. I'll check back in later.

Oh man, I know ALL ABOUT cafeteria food! At my university campus there are three different foodcourts to go to because its a gianormous campus, and the one that has any good salads is all the way across campus, and half they time they don't even have that. Its hard to eat right at school, hence the coining of the term "freshman fifteen". If you make good choices, and at least resolve to eat smaller portions, you should make some progress.

Also, don't underestimate the power of exercise and drinking lots and lots of water!

I know you can do it, and making yourself actually have to write it down makes you want to stay true to yourself, as well as we can help you with tips and info sometimes!
