Beach body for May

My goal is to have as much of a beach body as I can before i go to Mexico w/ my girlfriend in May, i'm tired of being the chubby guy.

I'm 24, male and my body type is that of a former high school offensive lineman. high muscle mass, with a fat coating over top.
Current weight: 230 lbs
Height: 6'1"
Shirt size: large to extra large, depends on the cut.
Pant size: 34" to 36" agains depends on the cut and style of pant.
Neck size: 18 - 18.5"

weight loss goal: I would like to be down to 210 or so by May.
I started at around 240 lbs in November, so I have made some progress, but recently have reached a plateau.
My normal daily routine is: I wake up at 6:30, get dressed and have breakfast. lately its been a big bowl of cereal (sugar free) w/ skim milk, and a small glass of fruit juice (cranberry or orange)
I go to work at 7:30, and have an apple between 9:30 and 10.
i eat lunch at 12: usually consists of leftovers from the night before, or more often i make a big batch of stirfry for the week w/ low sodium soy sauce w/ chicken and assorted veggies and white or brown rice.
I have another apple at around 2:30.
I go home at 4, and work out. I've been trying to do 45 minutes or so of yoga
followed by 30-45 minutes on my elliptical. i try to do a short ab workout and 30-50 pushups as well.
for dinner I usually eat a chicken breast, sometimes with a caesar salad. or rice and a veggie. but i think often i make too much food at dinner. this is just a general outline that i try to stick too. but i have become slightly discouraged as of late. even though i have lost 10 lbs or so over the last few months, things like my pant size haven't changed, its like my weight loss isnt making any difference.

anyone have any ideas or tricks to keep motivated, even in the face of no apparent weight loss change?

Dave

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the WLF :) Good for you for being willing and ready to take on the change!

Tips for staying motivated? Come here, read the diaries, see that people are getting up, out of the chair and making this happen! Take measurements and learn to appreciate non scale victories - seeing the difference in endurance, abilities and range of motion when the scales aren't budging.

Keeping on track and taking this one day at a time - you'll reach your goals!
(and have a great time in Mexico while doing it!)
