Yesterday was my 2nd full day on my journey. the 1st day I did a 1 mile run/walk. Yesterday I started my diet and walked 2 miles and rode my bike 4 miles. I feel saddened that I have to give up my morning kolaches.

Your doing Awesome. Thats a huge amount of excercise. Dont be sad your giving up your Kolaches just substitute them with something Healthy and Yummy. There is a few things out there like that. LOL. You really are doing great. Keep it up and you will be at your goal in no time.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't find a healthy and "active" sex life to be offensive at all.

In any case, keep it up! I don't know what the heck a Koalaches is, but one of the great things about today's world is that they have a diet version of just about everything, and usually they don't even taste that different! I also personally believe its okay to treat yourself every once in a while if you've had a really good week.

Yesterday I was pretty good. No Kolaches and a glass of skim milk for breakfast. Lunch was a Quiznos low carb flat bread with turkey, ham, one slice of swiss cheese, and Baked Lays chips. I washed it down with a Sobe Green Tea. For dinner my wife and I went out for Sushi. I figure eel, shrimp, rice, soy paper, and crab can't be all that fattening especially when its just steamed. Sushi is my one true food love and I will never give it up. After dinner I relaxed for an hour then I did my nightly walk/run for a mile and finished with a Carnation Nutrition drink.--------I WON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!

I have heard that alot of the "premade" teas are filled with alot of sugar...but I am not sure about that....I make iced green tea at home and use a sugar subsitute.....For a 2 quart of tea I use like 5 packages.
What are you eating for snacks??
My fiance loves sushi also.....I have still yet to try it...(wait I did try squid and it was good)
So for your one mile..do you walk a little ..then run a little...then walk a little..etc..?
For breakfast you need to eat something with fiber....so that it will fill you for a longer time. I KNOW you can do this!!!..I'm behind you 100%!!!!....

Thanks! You guys are amazing. The Sobe Green Tea is %100 Vitamin C and nothing else. It is on the South Beach Diet Phase 1. For my mile I jog an 1/8th , walk an 1/8th, etc. I know that breakfast is important but I am so busy in the morning that I eat on the run (ie. Kolaches and donuts)

Last night I did my walk/jog routine but I stepped it up. Instead of the jog I did sprints.....it kicked my ass! I am not ready for that pace yet! For dinner I had a fat free pita bread, ham, and turkey sandwich with baked lays chips and water. I had Post Raisin brand for breakfast with 1% milk. For lunch I made a Lean Cuisine french bread pizza. OH YEAH!!! I almost forgot, Tuesday I have an appointment with a trainer to tour Galveston Health and Racquet Club ( ). Its a really nice facility and I am sure I will join. They also have a great kids program. I am keeping to my journey and staying strong.........thanks guys/gals!! :p

Im sooo glad to see you had some cereal for breakfast!!!!...Its looking great!!!!!
Have a spooooky Halloween!!!!

I am going to try your advice and wake up a little earlier for some fiber intake! BTW, tonight I walked/jogged my mile. I realize now that exercise and diet is much more important than a double cheeseburger and fries.

You know what else is good....nurtigrain bars...or whole grain bagels with fat free cream cheese!!!....Now since your in your thirtys...fiber really needs to be one of your best friends....lol....I also like grape nuts with splenda ..or maybe cut up a bananna in there....
I have a feeling before to long....you will be just RUNNING that mile!!! :D

I love nutrigrain bars, I just always forget to buy them. They have the best fillings! Keep it up Barratt, you're doing great!

Tonight it rained cats and dogs so I didn't get to do my run. Tomorrow morning I have my appointment with the PT at the gym, I hope it works out.
