Balance exercises?

I just got over a bad leg injury and my physical therapist says that working on balance exercises when i'm at home will definitely speed up the process.. Im not really fond of the exercises they make me do there.. Does anyone know of any new exercises or exercise equipment that is fun and will help me with this problem?

Replace your desk/office/whatever chair with a physio ball (make sure it's the right size for your height). And do everything you do at the gym on a bosu ball/physio ball. Everything! :D

Also I highly recommend Alwyn Cosgrove and Eric Cressey's Magnificent Mobility for some (mostly) dynamic stretching stuff you can throw in before exercise, or on off days, or pretty much whenever. It will help. Definitely start with the beginner exercises, though, and see how it goes. :)

I don't really know jack all about injury prevention/rehab, though, as it's never been necessary for me. So I'd wait on some other opinions before considering anything I've said.

Best wishes. :)

If you need to do some stregthening squat sets are always good. If you're looking for more balance try taking some yogo classes. my gym just started offering classes with indoboards. It looks pretty awesome.
