Back to basics Laura's Diary

Hey everyone,

I was doing well, losing weight steadily and then i guess i got complacent and the occasional chocolate bar became the frequent chocolate bar and then i got back into a pretty vicious cycle of binge eating.

I am so frustrated as i was doing so well. I managed to get down to the lowest weight i had ever been in a long time 141lbs and then i just let it all go and i guess me stopping posting on here was partly to do with it. Although i haven't put back on all the weight i have been watching the scale creep up and i am determined to stop it. I have dropped a dress size in tops and i am determined to stay there and to drop one in trousers too!

So my new plan:

  • No Binging
  • Try to cut out sugary foods
  • Exercise at least every other day
  • Drink my water

I am going to try and keep up to date on my posting and my current goal is to reach 140lbs by my school half term which at my current weight (about 146lbs) is probably about 1.5lbs a week.

I am also going to stop snacking after dinner, i find it just sets me off on a major craving. This time i am determined to succeed. My life has got so much better since i lost the weight before and i am determined not to go back to the way i felt before!!

Thanks for listening to me ramble

You can do it!
I'm also back here from going back to my old ways.
But at least we're back! We may have had a hiccup in losing weight, but at least we caught ourselves! We just need to stay determined this time and not let ourselves go back to what we were :)

You're gonna do awesome!!

Thanks for your comments, motivation always helps! Today has been a great first start. I have eaten really well, avoided binging and drank loads of water. I also went for a run so have filled my exercise quota for today!
Hope everyone is having a great day!

It's funny how going off track AND not posting seems to go hand in hand!

It's good you're back - but I think it's important to think about whether you're just trying to diet and get to a number on a scale, or if you want and are willing to change your lifestyle - forever...to KEEP that number on the scale when you get to it.

We just can't go back to eating the way we used to.

I know it's true for me anyway!

Laura,
It's so good to see you back and posting! You CAN do this - just remember, it's about a life long change in how we think about food!
