Back on the Bandwagon!

So, here it is...My name is Sarah. I am 22 years old, 5'3" and 176 lbs. I haven't always been overweight. I've gained 20 lbs in the last year. My husband left for Afghanistan last June and since then, I've gained weight. He is due home next month and I need to lose some weight and get back in a routine before he comes home. This Monday, I am going to start going to the gym and getting back into the eating healthy thing again. Any tips from anyone on how to kickoff a weight loss routine?
 
hey! i don't know how to "friend" you on here yet but we have alot in common already! we are both new on here, trying to lose weight and military wives!! woohoo!! we are currently stationed in alabama while my husband goes through Flight School to fly helicopters, probably the Apache. he'll be graduating next year and we'll be moving again... then he will deploy. we've been through a 15 month deployment already, so i know what you are going through. i don't have many weight loss tips and or i wouldn't just be joining but i wanted to say hi!! : ) oh yeah, i think water is supposed to kickstart weight loss... something i need to learn to love b/c i don't like water but drink ALOT of pop. and so it begins... :eek:)
