Back for the first time.

Hey all..im new to this site..Well im 18 years old from Virginia..Sports is the love of my life..i love every single one of them...i am from detroit..so i love detroit everything. I am 6'1 215..but it doesnt look like 215...so..im trying to get back down to 180 ish..basically drank too much and gained weight..simple enough, joined the site to get some get input on how i should go about it this time, and what i need to do to receive optimal results. Im going to post pics...sometime in the near future...so everyone look out for that!:iagree:
 
If you drink in moderation it can be alright, but any spirits with pop is a big no no. I try to stick to wine, and spirits with tonic water and lime juice. They seem to make life simpler - and still allow you to sneak a drink in every now and again! Good luck with your goal! Any support needed just ask :)
 
In general, folks here advocate counting calories and exercising; journaling your nutrition (eating), water, and workouts; working your way to getting your calories the healthiest way possible (fruits, veggies, lean meats); and not overly-restricting your calories; losing weight at a reasonable pace (not cutting calories too much and not killing yourself at the gym).

Check out the stickie threads in the forums that sound interesting to you and don't be afraid to ask questions.


BTW, Each drink is about 100 calories... Drink = 1 light beer, 1 wine glass, 1 shot. Martini = 2 drinks+, Margarita = 450 calories+ (loaded with extra sugar).
