I was on this site before (Painted Daisy) but have decided to start fresh.

Here's my status- I've gained 10 lbs a year over the past few years and am now, eeek, 185. While I love my body, I hate seeing photos of myself and have decided that I obviously need to do something now before I gain more and end up not being able to live in denial anymore.

This is just one of the sites I use for help. I also use mydailyplate for calorie counting, SparkPeople for articles and recipes, and have started physically writing everything down (instead of just entering online) so that I have it on paper and maybe that will work better for me.

I'm also "eating clean" and this is officially my 3rd day. I'm enjoying the recipes and ideas from the Eat Clean books I have (I bought them years ago but never really got into them). I also am trying to work out regularly. I'd like to say every day, but I hurt my shoulder recently (maybe a rotator cuff injury?) and haven't worked out in a week because it hurts so much. However, this isn't stopping me from walking more.

In fact, got a new pedometer last week (less bulky than my old one) and am monitoring my steps too. Aiming for 10,000 and then working up from there.

I digress, I look forward to tracking my progress here and hopefully touching base with women in similar situations as me and ready to kick butt and squeeze back into those old size 8s.
