Back and Chest exercises without using arms?

Hey
I developed a small blood clot in my right shoulder from weightlifting style stuff recently, and am consequently on blood thinners for the next three months.
So, as a result, I'm unable to do anything with my right arm, and in the hope of not becoming a toast rack by the end of january, I am looking for some advice.

Is it possible to do any kind of size/strength maintenence exercises for the chest and back without using one's arms/shoulders?

I can left very small (5-10lbs) weights with my right arm, but I'm not allowed to lift anything over my head. I'd also possibly be able to do limited reclined stuff, but not sure about that. Pushups are naturally impossible, dips and pull/chin ups are a no. Core exercises, such as weighted declined sit ups, hyperextensions, etc are possible though, and I was thinking there might be something there (for example, extending the curl, or twisting, or something), but I'm not sure. Also, I can only lift the weight in my left hand, but it's positioned byheind my head or held against my chest for those exercises anyways, so it's relatively centered.\

So, anyone know of anything I could do?

Workout and you risk destroying your chances of ever lifting again or sit tight and get back to it when the doc tells you its ok.

You can work the chest and back without using your arms too much, but their will still be under great tension. Dont do it.

Alright, thank you both for your advice.
Do you know if there's a way to minimize loss? Like, is there a particular something I should eat more of, or just keep up with my normal diet and make sure not to miss many meals?

Once again, thanks.

Well , wait...hold on here....I've had success with the following. it'll help keep you toned...just toned until you recover.
Lean up against a doorway with one side of your chest. Flex your chest muscle slowly...up and down up and down ...slowly , lean harder, still can't feel it? Put some pressure on your chest with your legs. switch sides....Viola!...

you will probably loose less muscle than you will think. just make sure you eat enough calories and protein for your body to maintain the muscle you have. and its much easier and faster to put back on muscle you had previously so you wont fall as far behind as your dreading. good luck
