hi,
my name is tracey,i am 47 years old,i live in new south wales,australia and i need to lose weight.
5 years ago i lost 25 kilo's and regained my confidence and motivation.
i went ot the gym 5 days a week.the bunch of people that i trained with were excellant,no barbie dolls, who were only worried about there looks and designer work out clothes...but people who were there to exercise and enjoy it.
but every year our trainer took extended holidays and left us at a loose end...motivation went out the window for me and over the past 3 years,i have joined gym after gym after gym trying to get it back.
every week i also say to myself.this is the week i start to go walking and such.
but i never do it.and i have slowly gained back 14 kilo's.
but i want it gone.
please help me out guys...i'm sure there is someone in exactly the same boat as me.
 
Tracy I have been through it too! I would lose a decent amount of weight only to gain it back after I lost interest in working out. The turning point for me was when my doctor told me that if I didn't lose weight I could possibly have a heart attack at the age of 26!

This was all of the motivation that I needed to finally motivate me to loose the weight and more importantly keep it off. In my case I just needed someone else to confirm something that I really already knew...if you don't start doing something now you won't live long.

Everyone has reasons why they want to lose the weight. Tracy you just want to find your reason and to use it as motivation as I did. This forum is a great place to start.
