Was anyone on a diet when they conceived their child?

And if you were, did you notice your weight loss abruptly spot right away?:p

8 years ago, I lost about 25 lbs on Herbalife. I then found out I was pregnant with my son, and immediately stopped the diet. The first month, I gained 10 lbs, but after that my weight gain progressed normally through the pregnancy. After I had him, I was heavier than when I conceived, but I didn't gain it all back. I can't remember now how much I had gained back.

I have never lost it all again, though. Thus my new quest for weightloss...

Well, so far, I've lost about thirty pounds. But since the time of possible conception, I haven't lost anything. For two weeks, almost, my weight has come to a dead stop. I might be overreacting, but I was always losing weight, every week.

Maybe I've just hit a plateau and need to work harder. But I'm not taking any drastic measures until my time of the month comes and I know for sure that I'm not.

Oh, I understand your question now! I thought you wanted to know how much of the lost weight stayed lost. LOL I'm sorry, I don't remember if my weightloss stalled as soon as I conceived. I only know that once I knew I was pregnant and stopped the diet, I gained 10 lbs right away.

Everyone is essentially on a diet. The term diet has been associated with weight loss, yet it just means what you eat. Good job on the 30lbs BTW.

Losing it- NO, you should not start gaining right away if you are indeed pregnant. You are probably at a plateau, although good for you if you are prego!!!

the first little bit you only need about 300 extra calories a day. make sure you're not doing a diet that restricts your fats or proteins too much, the baby NEEDS these.
