Asian Slaw w/ Salmon

A buddy elsewhere on the web was looking for a meal suggestion that would be flavorful, healthy, not overly pungent, and well -not make you feel bogged down after eating (he's planning a full on seduction for the dinner complete with candles and flowers :D

Since I'm always willing to assist in someone getting some.. (If i can't someone else ought to be) and I already typed it up - here be the recipe

Asian Slaw
Ingredients
1/2 small pink or red grapefruit
1 Tbs hoisin sauce
1 tsp dark sesame oil
2 cups pea pods, cut lengthwise into thin strips
2 cups sliced Napa cabbage, sliced thin
1/2 cup sliced daikon radish, julienned
2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted (optional)

Mix hoisin sauce w/ sesame oil in a bowl.

Peel and coarsely chop grapefruit, saving juices -when you chop it - remove as much of the white pithy stuff and just leave the pretty pink fleshy stuff.

Meanwhile, add pea pods, cabbage, radishes, chopped grapefruit and to bowl with hoisin sauce mixture; toss well.
Refridgerate at l east an hour (this is also incredibly good the next day)
Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired just before serving

Salmon
2 nice pieces of salmon fillets
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbs hoisin sauce
reserved grapefruit juice from above

Mix sesame oil, hoisin sauce, and grapefruit juice in a bowl - and marinate salmon for about 30 minutes.
Grill, bake, roast, broil salmon to desired degree of doneness...

serve with slaw...

this is probably the only recipe i've evermade that doesn't call for 2 +cloves of garlic - but it's incredibly good and light. (it also works well with swordfish or tilapia)
