Are Whey Protein Shakes Healthy For Me

im 19 ive decided to apply myslef this summer and work out... i plan on working out 3 days a week... i hear its recommened i should drink a shake after i work out on those days.. so my question is are they healthy and safe for me and is this any good

yep protein is good for ya, i have about 4 shakes a day,
and ya that protein u have linked looks good.

Whey protein shakes are good for you especially post-workout. You can also drink them if your thirsty. I know some people say they dont' replace real food but its alot better then drinking soda.
 
chicken beef or fish would be better,why not take advantage and have a good meal,but whey wont do any harm given the choice a meal is much nicer.;)
 
lol yea i guess but if it wont do harm ill take the ez simple route ;)
 
After you work out make sure you eat a good amount of carbs,wait about an hour THEN take your protein

I've got to say, I've never heard THAT before.

Also got to mention, I've got bad luck if I try to drink them throughout the day. I have to drink them right before or right after working out, or while eating something else. I was eating simple fruit such as a banana and also a whey shake and I'd get extremely sleepy if I just did this in the middle of the day for no reason. I had to switch over to eating half of a chicken breast or something during the day and I feel better.
 
MY PWO shake usually consists of a 2:1 carb to protein ratio. Generally 48 grams of carbs (dextrose) and 24 grams of protein (1 scoop ON whey)

I definitley would reccomend going to Vitamin Shoppe if you have one near you (prices are usually alot cheaper than GNC) and getting some Optimum Nutrition.

Dont over complicate things!
Have a shake in the morning. One after you work out and one at night.
Be sure to eat loads of proteins throughout the day (chicken, turkey, cottage cheese).
Train hard.
Sleep well!
Big results!
 
eat clean eat alot lift heavy, take your protein shake 4 times a day once you wake up blend your whay with milk, banana, nuts, honey, and peanut butter. do that 4 times a day even on days you don't work out. eat alot of calories, carb and protein. enjoy the carbs while you can cuz when cutting comes your screwed.

work out 4 times a week bro, hit the muscles twice a week do some abs in between. do DL you'll get jacked fast

its not a meal replacement... its just filling in for the things you can't eat so you just do it in ten seconds down it and wala thats it

Yeah when i first started i got really sleepy to after my workouts but that will go after time. now i am just sore after each one
