Aprilmelody's Diary

As of 8/11/06, I weigh 146 pounds. I am 5'4 1/2.

1. I want to lose about 25 pounds.
2. I want to lose the weigh ASAP, of course, but at least by May 1, 2007.
3. Right now, I'm using Nexagen Fat Loss Patches and T-Tapp videos, and I've witnessed the success of both systems, so I could stick with them. If I'm not getting the results I want, I could always get on the elliptical machine for an hour a day and get there.
4. My sister is supportive of the patches because we are both selling and using them and seeing results. I don't know anyone else who T-Tapps, but the videos provide some motivation. It would be nice to not have sweets in my home, but that is a lost cause.
5. I think my goal is very realistic. I just have a second child, so now is a great time to take advantage of my body's natural instinct to shed extra pounds. Also, the patches give me enough energy to actually work out.
6. I started on 8/5/06.

Today I've been eating when I'm not hungry. That is my biggest problem - eating when I'm not hungry. At least I did buy healthier foods to keep in the house. I just need to stop eating when I'm happy, sad, bored, busy, stressed, etc.
I did exercise today, so that is one positive. I guess I'm just frustrated right now.

8/13/06

I have to fast today because I am having a colonoscopy on Monday morning, so I won't overeat today!
I already exercised, so I'm hoping for energy throughout the day.

Weight This Morning: 147 pounds
Goal: 120-125 pounds

Weight last night - 147
Goal - 120-125

I have been eating when I'm not hungry again. I have been craving granola bars, which are not bad in and of themselves, but when I eat six a day, the calories really add up. My emotions have been motivating my overeating.
I am still TTapping, and my bootcamp is over on Sunday. I need to take my measurements to compare to last week, but I don't think I've lost anything this week because my clothes are tighter, not looser.
I'm not giving up. I will keep starting anew each day.

just a suggestion.. weigh yourself at the same time every day.. or weekly - rather than in the morning and in the evening. you are going to be heavier int he evening than you are in the morning... that morning weight is usually a good motivator.. and if you do it every few days, you'll see bigger jumps.

Watch those patches... I'm am NOT a fan of using any medication to help you lose weight - do it safely thru diet and exercise... that stuff isn't regulated by any agency and you really don't know what you are getting or what the long term results will be on your body...

Good for you for not giving up - everything worth having takes a little time and patience with yourself. Areyou recording what you are eating in a food journal.. you might also want to record your emotion at the time when you eat so you can put a patternto your eating and maybe change it to something else

good luck

Thanks for the reply. Your encouragement is appreciated.:)

The patches I use are not meant for weight loss only. They are designed to provide energy, regulate mood, and help curb cravings. They contain ingredients that people I know have researched and found to be safe (as long as they aren't abused, of course). I agree that old fashioned eating fewer calories that one burns is the only real way to lose, but these patches are helping me have the energy to exercise while I am adjusting to life with a two-year-old and a seven-week-old:eek:

I am trying to remain focused, but emotional eating sidetracks me at times. I have a lot going on right now, not just with the girls, but also with work and leave, etc., so I'm tempted to overeat, but I'm not really craving anything right now, so that is a good thing.

I measured this morning, and I have lost two inches in the past two weeks. That isn't a lot to most people, but it is huge to me. I have also lost three pounds in the past two weeks, again, not a lot to most people, but a good start, in my opinion.

I'm going to exercise now, so maybe I'll have more good news to report later.

That is very good. Keep it up!!!!! Don't get discourged. You gotta stay Positive. When you get hungry do some situps, pushups, squats or something to ignore that craving. Or go buy some sugar free jello, and the old fanshion way is to drink tons of WATER:D

You should eat when hungry. Maybe them patches are giving you more energy therefore you are burning you food so your body needs more. But find something else to snack on other then those granola bars. And you'll be alright.

Have a Great day and don't forget to drink your WATER:p

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate the encouragement.
I didn't think about burning more calories and needing more calories as a result. Thanks for that idea.
I am drinking my water, too much sometimes, but I have to have my water.:)

Weight - 146
Goal - 120-125

I have eaten some junk food today, even when I wasn't hungry, and I've been really stressed out. I'm hoping that when things get back to normal next week, my eating will get back to normal (normal pre-pregnancy eating).
I am a little frustrated, but I just keep reminding myself that I've lost two inches and two pounds in two weeks, so I'm not failing. I just wish I had a magic cure to make this fat go away right now.

If only a cure existed:)
Today has been an okay food day, but I've been drinking too much caffeine. I guess I should only focus on one vice at a time.

today's weight - 146
goal - 120-125

Only One Pound of Fat

Hello, do you know me?
If you don't, you should.
I'm a pound of fat,
And I'm the HAPPIEST
pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds,
five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly,
so that you never seem to notice it.
That is, until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or
even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT,
left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in keep right on saying,
"Oh, I only lost one pound." (As if that were
such a terrible thing.)
For you see, if you do this,
you'll encourage others to keep me around because
they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you -
your arms, your legs,
your chin, your hips and
every part of you.
Happy Days!!!
After all, I'm
ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!!

And you've lose more than one.. you're doing great!!

Thanks for the support. I love the poem.:)

I am feeling great today. The patches I've been using take some time to really begin working, and today I've been feeling it. I've also started taking an amino acid (L-Glutamine) to curb sugar cravings, and I've craved no sugary food today! I ate only when I was hungry, and I ate only things that agree with me. I celebrated tonight with a dead sea salt bath, and I feel like a new woman.:D

I did weigh again this afternoon, and although I've lost no weight, I am not discouraged. I know I will reach my goal. The support I'm receiving here has a lot to do with my attitude towards a lifestyle change, not just weight loss, so thanks everyone.

Well, I have lost a pound. I am so happy to have lost that one little pound, it is ridiculous.
I have been eating only when I'm hungry today, so I hope to see some more progress. The energy patches and L-Glutamine have really helped me have the energy to exercise while curbing sugar cravings.
Just twenty more pounds to go!
The poem seems very appropriate, right?:)

Weight as of this morning - 143:)
Goal - 120-125
Pounds to Go - 20

I now weigh what I weighed when I found out I was pregnant with baby #2!

My Jen Fe Fat Loss Power Patch is working wonders, as is T-Tapp. I have been taking an amino acid supplement (L-Glutamine) to curb cravings, and I have no complaints.

Today is a happy day.:D

9/5/06

Weight - 143
Goal - 120-125
Pounds to Go - about 20
I guess a better goal is to fit into my old clothes - size 4 and 6 - I'm a size 9/10 now.

I'm still T-tapping and using my Jen Fe Power Patches to increase energy. I'm also still using an L-Glutamine supplement to curb sugar cravings, and so far, so good. While I haven't lost more weight, I'm seeing more muscle definition, and my clothes are looser. I can also fit into some size eight pants (barely, but I can;) .

I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. When I want to quit, I just ask myself what kind of body I want. The answer is always the same - a strong, healthy, slimmer body, so I've got to work for it.

Happy Labor Day!

weight - 142
goal - 120-125
pounds to go - about 20
size - 8 or 10
goal - 6

I am still working hard to reach my goals. I get frustrated when I don't see instant results, but I'm trying to remember that a total body change does not happen overnight, and neither did my pregnancy weight!

I am sticking to the same program I've been on all along, and I have no complaints.

Thanks for the encouragement. It really does help.
