Anyone using tabata for fat loss?

If so, mind sharing your experiences? I enjoy interval training, and I'm looking to loose around 21 lbs of fat and gain some muscle. Just wondering if tabata sprinting 3 times a week would be a good way to do this.
 
Tabatas are hell, plain and simple :D The beauty of Tabatas is that they can be used in multiple ways, such as traditional "weight" exercises and body weight exercises, besides sprinting and cardio.

However, I don't think that using anything exclusively is ever the answer to weight loss. Focus your efforts on your weight training, and use cardio/interval methods such as tabatas, intervals, HIIT, and even the occasional SS to produce variations in your training for greater fat loss.
