Maybe I'm just cut out for weight loss, catching big fish, taking good photographs...... or whatever other crazy idea that gets stuck in my head, it just becomes my whole lifes focus ! (for better, or for worse)
You see, in all honesty, I have hard-core AADD, and OCC (obsessive compulsive disorder).
So ironically, the same thing that made me obese in the first place (my all or none mentality) is also what has made it so easy for me to lose all kinds of weight.
This evening, I was talking to an old buddy, and told him, "Dude, I just got a Bowflex, and I'm stoked".... To which he sighs and says, "Oh boy... here we go again. In 2 or 3 years, your going to look like Arnold" (wish I had as much confidence in me, as my buddy does
) ....and he goes on to say, "Because I know you ! Your just like that. You get something stuck in your head and you just go freaking crazy with it, like theirs no tomorrow" ! Who ? Me ?
Anyway, I dunno..... Maybe for a normal person, losing weight is that hard. I mean, heck, if you lead a balanced life, where like diet and excersize are only one small aspect, yea, that might make it really tough. I'm not sure if a person can learn to be Obsessive / Compulsive with just certain things, such as diet and exercise. But I can tell you from personal experience, it would certainly make it easy to lose weight, if you could.
In fact, pretty much anything becomes easy, if you just basically forget nearly every other aspect of your life... even some important ones
In a lot of ways, AADD and OCD kind of suck.... but it does have a few upsides too !
Can anybody here relate to this whacked out kind of thinking ?
