Anybody know of any EASY and unique dessert recipes??

Like stuff I can make in 10 minutes?

For instance I just found this cool idea of mixing fat free whip cream with just a little sugar-free pudding mix and dropping spoonfuls on cookie sheets and freezing it.

I love simple and easy ideas like that...

This is my new crack:

Creamy Peanut Butter Dip
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (not reduced fat, that has more carbs)
1 tablespoon fat free milk
1/3 cup frozen fat free whipped topping, thawed
apple, pear, jicama...whatever sounds good...

wisk together peanut butter and milk, when creamy add whipped cream and wisk together so that it blends just enough...leave a little streaking.

serving size: 2 tablespoons
servings per recipe: 4
82 cals
4 g total fat
1 g saturated fat
0 chol.
42 mg sodium
10 g carb
2 g fiber
2 g protein

From Better Homes and Gardens Diabetic Living, fall 2006, page 94

This turned out soooo yummy! I could ice cup cakes with this stuff. It's really good on graham crackers & apples too.

Didn't know you could freeze it like that:eek: Yum! We usually mix that up as a dip for fruit. Dee-lish!!

Penquin, I am so glad you said something about the reduced fat peanut butter having more carbs. I never knew that. I use reduced fat and my husband uses regular so I checked them out and the reduced fat has WAY more carbs... and sodium. Thanks for the info.

Something that I used to do all the time was buy those low fat or fat free single serving pudding cups and freeze them. I'd pull it out and eat it. It takes a long time to eat because it's frozen solid.

Wow PEQ, thats sounds yummier than the orignal peanutbutter
I dip my apples in! I to buy well actually honey roasted peter pan
peanutbitter calories are the same fat is 2 grams different and like
you said more carbs!
I don't make too much except when I see a easy recipie on here I
'will but if your looking for a sweet fix Special K has lots of yummy
snack bars (peanutbutter chochlate,strawberry,vanilla,)all around
90-110 cals 1.5-3 fat):D Tammy

Something that I love is buy a box of caprisuns (the drink things) and freeze them then eat it with a spoon. It is really tasty and takes forever to eat. And I think they are only 100 cals. I eat one every night. Its good if you are a big ice cream eater. I love ice cream and I would actually choose one of these over ice cream anyday.

Great idea MamaOf2.... i'll have to try that. I'm not a big ice cream eater but I do enjoy something sweet from time to time. Ya know, they say that when you are craving sweets that your body is really just craving fruit. Most of the time fruit will make it go away BUT definetly not always.
