Im looking to lose about 30 lbs right now an get back to the form I like, but im wondering how I can lose weight and just look skinny instead of looking buff. I really don t want a big chest or big arms just lean and skinny

Good news: if you're eating in a caloric deficit and you aren't doing any heavy lifting, you're going to lose muscle mass.

No idea why you'd want to lose muscle mass- it increases your metabolism and helps you keep off fat.

Im staying below 1000 calories a day and runnign 1-2 miles almost every day, I just dont like myself big I wanna look lean like I used to be 3-4 years ago, weighed around 180 and I didnt really have much muscle on me at all

heres a pic of me at around that weight, see no muscle on me at all

cant post it sadly have to have 15 posts first :(

First of all, I can't see the pic.

Second of all under 1000 calories is WAY TOO LOW, regardless of your stats. Read the stickies, they're full of invaluable information.

I posted the pic as my url homepage in my profile as the forum doesn't allow you to post links if you're under 15 posts

which stickies would you recomend really like some of them just dont make sense to me at all

"Low intensity steady state cardio (40-60% of max HR, ball-parked)
Steady state cardio (70-85% of max HR, ball-parked)
Interval training
HIIT"

Like that paragraph doesn't make any sense to me

everyones so hostile here

Ok off to read every single sticky I guess
People aren't hostile -there is an expectation that people want to help themselves... and not be spoon fed everything.

Read - learn - ask questions on what you don't understand in those threads.

Make an effort

HR is heart rate and HIIT is high intensity interval training. If you don't understand a term, try googling it. I'm not being snide, it's just far easier to do that than to ask on the forum and wait for someone patient enough to answer you. :)

A mixture of toning and aerobics exercise along with a diet high in fruit, vegetables, nuts ans seeds will help. Keeping muscles toned will help keep you slender. Skinny is not the ideal.
