I just purchased a Calcium Caseinates protein which can be found here and my buddy said this:

Eddi2003: you dont want that
Eddi2003: high levels of calcium have been linked to brain damage
k blaster bug: wow
k blaster bug: i never knew that


Can it really cause brain damage? Thanks for the information guys.

Well thats right and wrong at the same time. Its not necessarily the calcium that can be "bad" for the body in general. Its the possible imbalance between the big three nutrients. calcium,magnesium, and Vitamin D. Not to even mention the many more involved in the calcification process. The main concern is soft tissue calcification of the body more so then anything els.

Basically without going in to great detail. Get a calcium supplement that contains 400IU of D3, and at least 50% of the RDA for Magnesium. Then cut out ALL phosphoric acid containing drinks from your diet (ALL soda). Make sure the calcium supplement has no more then about 600-800MG of calcium. Exercise regularly.

Doing the above and you should not have to worry about any of the "negative" affects of calcium supplementation.
And, don't take that product. Reading the ingredients list "artificial flavors".
