any tips to lose weight..

im 15, 154LB 5ft 7"
most is fat and not much muscle there at all ill admit! but recently ive seen myself and now want to get in shape. i was 12ST 7LB ( 175LB ) and what i believe, was too quick ( around a month, maybe a tad more ) i walk lets say 1-3 miles, GYMs have and are never my type of thing accept home equipment. so i currently walk for 40mins a day and often 2-3 hours depending on how im feeling and have access to numerous dumbells and adjustable weight lifts. and i do 3 KG dumbells, i can go for around 30 curls maybe, and with 10LB weight lifts, around 8-12 curls at a time, and aim to do 10 10LB curls a day, every hour or so, i eat around 900kcals a day ( this is where im worried, way too low? but when i eat around 1300/1400 i seem to put on weight? ) so what im eating and the little exercise i do, any tips?
