I am 14, looking to loose weight. i weigh like 180, idk how tall i am. i have asthma really bad and its hard for me to run/jog. I really want to get into shape, any help?
The only way for you to get into running/jogging will be to start slow and progress very gradually... also always make sure that you have remembered to take any medications as prescribed on the days that you are going to exercise, and bring your inhaler with you, if you have one.
Start with something easy like walking. Work on increasing the length of time you can walk before trying to increase the intensity. Once you are ready, try something like a 'couch to 5K' program, where at the beginning stages, you only run for 60 seconds at a time, then walk to catch your breath. You may even need to start with a shorter run interval. Do not increase the time of your run interval until you can manage the one that you're working on without feeling any shortness of breath.
Since you have asthma, it's probably a good idea to have someone with you when you exercise until you know for sure that you can do it with no issues. There are downsides to any location for running when you have asthma.... people at the gym could be wearing perfume or hair products that can trigger a reaction... vehicle exhaust can cause problems outside.... allergens such as animals or grasses can cause problems on park trails. Just be really aware of where you're going to be and make sure someone is there with you to help if needed
