Any BMX'rs or Mountain Bikers?

Anyone know of a routine to help maxamize a bunny hop? Since it's the foundation to a lot of spinning and other upperbody movements, it could greatly improve my abilities by following a routine that could help a bunny hop.

I've done some basic chest and tricept exersizes, as well as back and lower back. Anyone have any adivce/help for me?

Thanks

Bunny hopping is about balance and core body strength. If you can wheelie, you can bunny hop as all it entails is pulling straight up on the handle bars instead of shifting your weight back for a wheelie. I'd suggest calf work, forearm work for grip strength and a good core workout for abdominal and lower back strength.
Preload the bike by bending your knees and elbows, then when you're ready to launch, uncoil like a spring, quickly and explosively. Your first attempts will look awkward but as you learn how to manipulate your body you'll also learn how much force to exert. One trick you could try is to launch off a small bump and try to get both wheels in the air

I ride BMX. Pulling a wheelie isn't much like a bunnyhop, since you're using your pedals to get your front end up. Really, the best way to hop high is to practice practice practice! I know plenty of riders who are bigger and probably stronger than me, yet I can hop onto picnic tables and they can't.
It's all about explosive energy at exactly the right time (when your front wheel reaches its highest point), therefore it's more about technique than all out strength. I see a lot of people trying to bunny hop by hardly raising their front wheel at all. You should have the bike almost vertical by the time your back wheel leaves the floor, with your handlebars pulled up into your abdomen from when you snap your body forwards and upwards. It's hard to explain but I'm sure you know what I mean.

If you really want to try and improve using weights, then maybe try upright barbell rows and squats with explosive speed.
