Any advice will help

Hi There,

I'm new to this site and basically looking for some encouragement and tips to start my weight loss journey. I'm young and I'm weighing in very large. All my life I've accepted the fact I'm bigger.. I really want to change that because for personal reasons and because I know I can do it. The problem is I have no will power. I do have a gym membership but I'm embarrassed and I hate going when its busy. I usually go after work around 10-11PM at night but I'm tired so lately I haven't been attending. I'm willing to change my diet completely. It's hard to stay away from fast food because I'm the manager of a restaurant. I've cut all soft drinks and even sugar out of my diet for starters. I'm only having about 15 grams a day. I've decided on February 1st I will start preparing my own meals and taking them with me to work to prevent eating fast food. I'm really serious about this journey it feels impossible but realistically nothing is impossible. I turn to all the members on the forum to give me that little extra push I need. I can't really express my feelings with my friends because they're not like me and don't understand.

So if anyone has any tips on exercises and meals I can start preparing for myself I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Sydney

Hey welcome! You are at the right place for encouragement and support! People here are great!

Sounds like you have a good plan! I suggest you looked around on the weight loss diary section for ideas! Different people have different ideas about losing weight. Plus you have to find what works for you.
Cutting out soda is a great start. Also preparing your own meals instead of eating highly processed food is also a really good idea!

Maybe you can start a diary! It helps a lot to keep track of your achievements!

Best of luck! :)

Yeah, starting a diary would be a great plan.
For the rest, I think you are taking the right steps - just get back to that gym!
