Hi there,
I am new here, like a lot of the other posts on this board. Open to advice, criticism, and/or answering questions. Looking for that community support feel.
A little about myself:
Male 5'10", 27 yrs old, currently 307lbs. I have always been the muscular type, as pench press/squats etc have always been a part of my life. I've always been into martial arts, and taught it for several years. I am very straight forward and believe on putting all the cards on the table.
Past 3-5 years have been harsh. I went from 200lbs, very fit and running a 5k several times a week, to 315lbs. It was mainly from being very depressed and eating fast food. Started with my little brother committing suicide. He was 15 yrs old. Then my father died. Then wife cheated and left, finally followed by getting laid off from a very good job. Went on unemployment for a while and became very inactive in life. And that led to the weight gain.
I am just now trying to lose that weight. I've started a regiment that I have been doing for two weeks and I was wondering if anyone could take a look at it.
I wake up at 5am. Watch a bit of news and drink coffee (black) for a bit. I hop on the treadmill for about a half-hour at a very brisk walk (usually 1.5 miles).
Eat Breakfast at 8am, 500 calories. Usually 3 eggs and 2 pieces of sausage. Cup of OJ and vitamins, fish oil pill, etc.
Eat Lunch at 12pm, 500 calories. Usually a full size salad.
Eat Dinner at 5pm, 500 calories. Usually a 4oz piece of fish w/rice. Or 4 oz chicken breast w/red potatoes. Then a glass of milk.
I drink several bottles of water throughout the day. No soft drinks.
I then go to sleep at around 10pm and do it all over again.
I have been doing this for two weeks and have dropped 8-ish pounds. However, I figure this is a new diet and my body is just getting used to it and I also figure a lot of it is water weight. If you've read this far, then I already have to thank you for it. Any advice or criticism would be helpful, as I made most of this up off of the cuff. I'm flying blind, hope you have a flashlight
