Another newbie

Hi guys. Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I'm 34 y/o, 5'9" and 371 lbs. I've been overweight all of my life and I really want to make a change. I just found out that I have sleep apnea and I'm on a breathing machine to help me sleep, once I hit 30 I started feeling the effects of the weight, I'm also recently engaged and I want to to get healthy for my soon to be wife and our future children. In all honesty I have given up many times, a couple years ago I joined a planet fitness and vowed that I would make a change and I did...for a short time. I had lost weight I felt great but because i am an emotional eater, something came up and I went right back to eating and then I made more and more excuses not to go to the gym. When I was dating my fiance she would go to the gym with me and she was my motivation but when she got busy with work and I with work and school, we both made excuses. Now, my fiance doesn't like that her small stomach is starting to turn into a belly so we want to get back into it. She cooks or we cook together and we're starting to eat healthier, laying off pop and fast food and we are planning on getting a planet fitness black card gym membership again. We hope that the recent changes we have implemented stick and coupled with the exercising, we can be successful. I was thinking of joining weight watchers but I think that if me and my fiance hold each other accountable we'll be fine.
 
Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you have a good plan. I'd recommend starting a journal in the diary section of the forum, they're great for staying motivated and getting to know the other members here. Congrats on the engagement! :)
