Another Newbie, but lost

Hi there, just joined and still looking around the forum. I figured out my avatar pic (thanks for the instructions) but having issues with getting a ticker started (followed the directions but did not work for me). I checked out the tickerfactory.com and also the 3fatchicks.com but cannot get either one of them into my signature.
I have been doing the yo-yo weight loss for years and need to seriously get something going. I am needing motivation and support and this site seems to have it, but I just need to get around on it and not get so lost.

Hi and welcome!

To add a Ticker to your signature, go to Tickerfactory.com, click weight loss, follow the directions. After you finish configuring your ticker, click in the bbCode area. Do Ctrl+A on your keyboard, that should highlight it. Then do a Ctrl+C to copy it. After that go back to the Weight Loss Forum, and click User CP. In that click Edit Signature. And then click in the box and do a Ctrl+V. That should copy the ticker into the box. If you need anymore help, feel free to ask. It should be similar across all other ticker sites, not just tickerfactory.com. :)

I never tried that cntr+v, thing, but what I have done is click my left mouse button to copy and my right to paste....but either way you do it, make sure you do copy that bbc code.

Ditto that newbride...that's what I did too. All these gadgets that I have and can operate in my sleep but I don't know the freaking keyboard shortcuts for my computer! :eek:

Thank you everyone. My son ended up helping me. I think I got it. Had to take notes as he does it so fast, lol.
I love the keyboard shortcuts. I have micro's also. I do medical transcription part time and they are so much help, type a few letters and get an entire sentence.

Here I go. I bought a new scale today and my son and I both weighed in. He is working on weight loss too.
