Hi all!

My names michelle and I'm 31 from Edinburgh.

Over the past 4 year's I gradually got up to 21 stone :(

split up with my partner about a year ago and finally seen myself from what I really am- fat! That's not meant to offend anyone. Over the past year I lost six stone. Was doing pretty well with weight loss, got the contraceptive rod inserted and low and behold the weight7 started creeping back on.

I eat pretty well most of the time, do have a take away every few weeks though, not saying I'm perfect. Aswell as eating well I do four high impact fitness classes a week.

today I've had my rod taken out :) when I was doing my health check witu the nurse last week (Thursday) I got weighed, my weight then was 98.2kg :( as I said, I got the rod removed a few hours ago, doctor weighed me again and I now weigh 97.6! That was in a few days! Now this is out I'm really hopeful my weight will finally start to drop :)

Hello and welcome to the forums! :seeya:

I wish you luck on your weight loss journey, just remember, don't let it affect you if you don't get the results your hoping for immediately. It took some time to gain the weight, it will take some time to lose it.

Keep and eye on your calorie intake and do some kind of physical activity and you should see results!

Welcome to the forum.

Firstly - congratulations on losing the six stone that you lost a few years ago... That is a brilliant weight loss and will really have made you a lot healthier... I appreciate that more than anyone as I have been 21 stone and know how daunting weight loss can be there... Its a shame that your weight has crept up a little (I have gained from my low weight so know what it is like) - but the increase does not actually look too big by my calculations...

I must admit that I have trouble thinking in kg so I have just calculated and it looks like your weight has crept back up to 15st 6 last week. It looks like you have lost 1.3 pounds since then.

After a six stone loss - you know what to do and it is great that you are focusing your attention to your weight once again. It may be worth you looking at the other changes that happened during your weight gain period... I know that when I looked at the period when I was gaining weight I was not weighing myself as regularly as I had been during the weight loss period. I had also become less controlled in my eating - not logging food and more flexible in what I allowed myself... I guess that part of it is that I felt like I deserved some flexibility after a while on a long term project...

When things got stressful I allowed myself more flexibility with my food than I should have (told myself it was ok as I was still doing some exercise - although it was at a reduced level) and I gained (over 3 stone)... You have actually done pretty well to focus your attention on it when the gain is less than half a stone...

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends

Good luck with your project.
