another fat loss/muscle gain ???

How much can a descently trained (2-3yrs) muscular but still overweight person lose on the fat side while gaining muscle. Can a person with 15% bf lose fat and gain muscle, probable not.

Can a person at 20% bf lose fat while gaining muscle? How about a person that has a 25% bf? What about 30%? Is there any difference?

How about a difference with muscle loss during a cutting phase? Will a person who has 15%bf lose more muscle during cutting than say a 25%bf person?

Just some questions that always are in my mind...

Is there science that answers this, what are your opinions?
 
I have been gaining muscle while losing fat.

I am at 11-12% percent body fat now and have put on 2 1/2 on my bicep while losing, just measured tonight and my bicep is 16 1/2 inches when it was 14 1/2 back in august. and I haven't lost much weight but lost lots of fat and replaced with muscle.

But it has been much slower this way.
 
you are saying your at 11%bf and you added 2 inches to your arms in the last 6months while losing fat? I need to see some before and after pictures
