Annoying scales - why do they do this?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can eat sensibly for ages and have the scales tell me I'm the same weight, then one day tell me I've lost a few pounds, then be back to the same weight the very next day?

It's so frustrating that I wait for ages to see results, to think I've got them, only for scales to say I'm back to square one the next day.

Arrgh! I hate that! Stupid scales.

I read somewhere that home scales can be very unreliable. I guess it depends on what you have at home (assuming that's where you're weighing yourself).

People have told me that the best thing to do is weigh yourself at the same time every day and to also take an average of 3 days results (so, day1 + day2 + day3, divided by 3) to get more accurate results.

I do this now and I don't get those weird jumps in my weight as often. Maybe would work for you too?

I believe the scales measure has to do with waste inside of you. Such as digested food (haven't gone to the bathroom in a while) or you recently ate and it's still in there.

That's my theory as to why the scale gets altered a bit. Maybe a few other things change it as well.
