So I decided to start writing about my weight loss journey online so I can share my success and maybe give others inspiration or ideas on how to lose weight.
So a little about me, I'm 155 5 foot 3 and 29 years old. I'm a teacher and currently looking for a job for September. I want to lose about 30 pounds. So far I've lost about 2. I didn't weight myself when I started a month ago (I was too scared to) but I think I started around 160.
So far in a month I've seen progress besides the 2-5 pounds I've lost. I fit into a dress that didn't fit before, a pair of capris from last summer I can now button and my bathing suit is looser. Also my stomach looks smaller in progress pictures.
This means so much to be because I take medication for very bad insomnia called Seroquel. This makes it very hard to lose weight, but I am and even though it might come off slower for me, I think trying to reach my goal by next year is attainable.
Basically what I'm doing is walking 5 days a week, either outside or in place inside. I lift weights, just started doing it 3 times a week this week. And I'm doing an ab workout 5 days a week and a leg workout 3 days a week. As far as diet goes, I don't eat anything fried, if I do it's a very small amount. I eat a lot of grilled chicken, salads, seafood and vegetables and fruit. I do eat carbs, in moderation, too hard to cut those out. I allow myself one small treat a day, or one bigger treat but then no treat the next day. I also drink 2 cups of green tea every night. I don't count calories, it doesn't work because it allows me too many calories for snacks and won't work with my medication. That's just my situation though. I'm happy I found something that works for me, I pretty much made it up myself to0!
Tomorrow I will weigh myself! And tonight I tried on my bikini. I think by August when I go on vacation I may actually look decent enough to wear it!!!!
