Evening all!
As I am starting my new life regime, I thought I would get myself on here and get into a routine of reading the forums so that I can keep myself motivated and focussed!

I am a 28 (for another 5 days anyway) year old female.

I am just embarking on what I hope will be my final bid to lose weight. My plan is "thin for 30" - which gives me one year and 4 days to achieve my goal!
I started my healthy eating on new years day weighing in at 17 stone 2lbs (240lbs). Ouch!

There is absolutely no excuse for me to be this overweight, as I play football (soccer) at least 3 times a week, sometimes 5 times. I don't smoke, I don't drink, but I am just lazy the rest of the time and eat loads of rubbish food.
My goal is obviously to lose weight to look better, but mainly, I want to have the body that fits with the person that I am, or rather that I could be - sporty, active, fit etc etc. I have always played a lot of sports, but have always been overweight. Ridiculous!

I am getting a treadmill for my birthday on Sunday, have an airwalker (are they any good?) and have the p90 and P90x workout videos, as well as all the football that I will continue to play.

So - here I go. The diet has changed, the exercise will begin this week once I have recovered from my run of night shifts, and hopefully this is the beginning of the future!

:D you seem really well prepared! A friend told me how good the p90x videos are but I am yet to try them. Hope to see you around!

So funny! I am 29, and my goal is also to be thin by 30. I will be turning 30 at beginning of june (WHAT??!!!), so I don't have as much time as you do.:):)
I'm on WW and work out every day. Hope we can give eachother encouragement. I've given up a few times already, but this time I have to do this. No way can I turn 30 and be fat. Ugh

Lochmond - I haven't started the videos yet - that will be my task hopefully tomorrow or the day after depending on time! I have 4 sets of workout videos in the P90 range - but I am starting with the bottom one - the P90. I have had a look through and am confident tat I can do all of the stuff on there well enough to let me get into it and not just want to quit. I have scanned through some of the P90x stuff - and as I am now, I would get a severe ass kicking from them, and probably give up, so I am going to start out with the P90 and then move up when I think I am ready. I will let you know how I get on in a week or two!

Joilgirl - good luck girl! I am the same. I have dieted before and lost 3 stone - then put 4 stone back on. But this time, I feel I have a new steely determination to like my body by the time I hit that milestone!! if you want to PM me, lets keep in touch, and hopefully we can help each other out and keep each other going!!
 
:D the first time I did the 30 day shred I really thought I was going to die. I considered giving up because it was so painful the next day - but somehow I managed to ease myself into it! I wish you the best of luck with p90 - and keep us updated!
 
Well - I lost 6lbs in my first week.
Don't you just love the first week of a diet!
I was naughty over the weekend as it was my birthday - although it was very much controlled naughty, so onwards and upwards from here, as I feel more determined than ever!
364 days until my 30th birthday - time's a tickin'!!
