And Now... Act 2.

I'm starting over. Starting from the beginning.

In 2008 I weighed 303 pounds. Sick of it, I lost weight, a hell of a lot. 110 pounds, through sheer determination.

Fast forward to 2010... I gained back 20 :|

I'm not having this. I'm back to being the food nazi. No longer going to sit around scarfing food (yea, bit of a food addiction) and I'm going to break my old record.

I do NOT want to be back to where I was.

So here we go again. 214 pounds. I want to be fit, damn it. Not just "less fat."

I know how to do it. I've done it before. Well, it's happening again.

Day 1... going well so far. I got a calorie tracker for my iphone. Never counted calories before! But here goes. Kind of a pain.

Determination and self discipline is the route to your success....!!!

Keep it going!

Here's a few tips:
- Drink lots of water
- Have multiple small light meals (especially if you are like me who likes to snack! I skip the main meals but have light meals in between instead. ;p)
- Try not to eat after 7pm. (it's tough though...maybe keep it to 8pm and nothing later)
- Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
- Replace your meals of fried and oily stuff with soup based stuff.
- Exercise

Another special tip... personally I do this. Eat oatmeals! I have it plain with breakfast. And then, also have it for dinner. But for dinner, i add the oatmeal into soup. Sounds odd? hahha.... a lot of my friends say that too... I can have fish soup, corn soup, mushroom soup, etc and etc and add say 5 or more spoonfuls of oatmeal. I use oatmeal to replace rice. And of course, no oily or fatty stuff in the soup pls.

Give this a try!

Good luck and wish you success!

Thanks guys! I love oatmeal, and plan to buy some. This weight loss thing isn't so bad the second time around, lol. Today the scale said -3 pounds but I assume I'm on the lower end of the "water weight" juggle.

They have weight control oatmeal that has tons of fiber in it. (Fiber's my dirty secret... it's amazing)

Yep as far as meals I am definitely a super snacker and not a meal eater unless I'm w/ friends. Probably better for me.

Great that you reconize it early before you gained to much weight back. 110 pounds is great! How did you lose the weight the first time around?

The first time I drastically changed how I ate. No fast food, no junk food, no liquid calories, plenty of fiber and fresh foods. Just that was enough to drop most of it... later on I added exercise. I lived on the 11th floor of my dorm and made a rule saying I can't take the elevator up. Eventually I ran up the stairs.

Today I didn't feel very good... some sinus thing going on. But a good day it was... egg sandwich, yogurt, granola bars, tuna salad sandwich (light miracle whip!), fiber bar, and as a night snack cucumber slices with a tad of light ranch.

Hey, I also lived on the 11th floor my first year in the university dorms, and I also took the stairs pretty much all the time! Everyone thought I was insane, lol.

Anyway, congrats on already having lost over 100 pounds!! I look forward to watching your progress this time around too. :)

Thanks!

Stayed home from class this morning. Egg sandwich for breakfast... love those.

Mom wants to take me out to dinner to Panera. Time to research what I should have, lol. (I don't eat meat except for fish and that makes it even harder.)

Probably a salad of some kind.

Great that you're gonna order salad. For me that's always so hard cause I see all the other yummy stuff on the menu. But it's good to just decide on forehand and stay with it!

True, but if you're making the healthiest choice possible you're still doing awesome! And you can decide to not eat it all, and maybe just take some home and finish it another day (or maybe just toss it to not be tempted).

All in all I did okay. I did the you-pick-two with the black bean soup and the salad... I have to say, amazing. Both tasted great.

Tonight I went out and bought some healthier things to bring to lunch during the day. Good night!

Stepped on the scale today... 208.4! Wow, not bad. I'm thinking my original 214 was with a lot of water weight on. Oh well. In any case my body seems to know what's going on. This morning was oatmeal again... I love the stuff.

That is one awesome drop in weight! Even if it is mostly water - who cares right? You're scale is on the downward spiral! Wooooowhooooo!!! :) I friggen love oatmeal too btw hehehehe especially with blueberries!

Have a great weekend!

Bad news... week 1 weight was 212.6... it might have been all the salty foods I ate making me retain water. I haven't been that bad, promise.

Oh I believe it...I have a really hard time with that too...It will come back down though! :) Are you drinking lots of water? That helps me a LOT when Im retaining... :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
