Amy's photos- before, in between, hopefully someday after

I know at least one person has asked for these, and today I finally decided to do it. Sorry if it's not at all impressive.

The first pictures are "before" photos. They weren't taken for that purpose, unfortunately. The first is quite old- May 2010- to show off my big problem area, my thighs (I don't allow many photos of my thighs to be taken). I was definitely putting on weight by then but I don't know how much I weighed. The second is late November 2010, and while it's not great given I have a coat on, it shows my full figure and it does show the (size 14!) coat pulling a little (it got to pull more than that). The final one is December 2010, which shows the belly I'd developed. Between October 2010 and April 2011 I was somewhere between 75 and 80 kilograms, although I didn't keep exact track of that. I'm not the kind of person who has a lot of photos taken of her.

The second set of photos is today, at 71kg, in my workout gear (which is tight, but not as tight as it was when I bought it). Taken by me so the quality may not be wonderful, but I've tried to make it honest (no sucking in of tummy). I've also used a regular bra to show my bust as it is, not as my sports bra shrinks it to be. I've removed my head from all the shots to keep this anonymous, and watermarked it so hopefully it won't be stolen for junk weight loss "solutions".

Looking at these photos, I don't think I've changed that much, although I have started to receive comments and my clothes are fitting differently.

Thanks :) The cornerstone in my weight loss is that I'm calorie counting, actually, although exercise comes into it. I try to go to the gym 3-4 days a week, where I do a program especially set up for me, for my weaknesses and goals (I didn't have to pay for it, but in retrospect it's worth paying for if you have to). My program is warmup (rowing machine 3 min, stretches), a hill based program on the cross trainer (aka elliptical) for 15 minutes on resistance 7, 10 minutes on the stepper machine (stair master? you push pedals up and down and it's quite hard work), then rowing 500m flat out (at the moment I do it in about 2 min 5 seconds), then bicep curls, tricep extensions, quite a bit of ab work (4 different exercises), then cool down (same as warm-up), but that may not suit you.

Girrrrl you look good. You can tell you've really toned up.
I wish I had your figure.
Dayyyyam.
Great progress.

These photos were taken yesterday, 30 April 2011, at 70kg. The shirt I'm wearing I bought a year ago, and it was tight, today I had to play with it to make it acceptably fitting. It's one of the first obvious things I've noticed that my weight is changing. These are some of the first "regular" photos of myself I've been pleased with in years (including being pleased with my legs, which never happens!).

Face removed for privacy.

Thanks :) I think we see different things when we look at pictures of ourselves- I see the remnants of my belly (it's much smaller than it was, but it's shrinking), that my upper arms are still a bit more flabby than I'd like, and in two of the photos (not the first, I was stunned with how good my legs look in that), how big my thighs are. I think you have a really good figure too, and I wish I could have that. I think it's just the way our minds work.

Ha it is funny.
Cos when i was looking at your photos i was like.. damn, Amy has good arms. and she has like... no tummy, and her thighs are slimmm.

Finally summed up the courage/ self-confidence/ narcissism to post these particular shots. This is as exposed as photos of me get (no bra and knickers shots, sorry). You get to see my legs in all their :puke: glory. Taken at 69.5 kilograms- or maybe a bit less, I'm less to 12 hours until my weekly weigh in, 69.5 is what I weighed last Saturday morning. (Keep in mind that given the tight nature of the material, my bust and stomach actually aren't quite this small naturally. I think the swimmers reduce my bust by about a cup size, so similar for the stomach)

Your thighs look super toned, slimmer than in the first pic.
You're doing amazing.

Thank you :)

I've been feeling more confident in my shape of late, so I've decided to do something that I wasn't going to- underwear shots. I think these show what clothed shots don't anymore- the parts of me I'm still not happy with. I don't like that stomach overhang (it's natural, neither pulled in nor deliberately stuck out), the size and triangular shape of my thighs, and increasingly the size of my upper arms (it's a minor problem, but I really noticed it today).

I don't know if anyone can see my strech marks, but those are a consequence of previous weight gain/ loss as well as growth spurts. There's nothing that can be done about them, I don't think.

I took these today (less than half an hour ago) weighing 67kg (147.71lb, down from 74kg- 163.14lb- when I joined this site. The highest I know I've been in the last year is 80kg, or 176.37lb, last October)

*wolf whistle* You look great! I know you aren't happy with yourself, but you look great to me, and if i had what you've got i would be flaunting it!

I'm glad you've got the confidence to do these pics :)

IAWOvertheRainbow. You have a fantastic body. Seriously. And I'd be so happy if I looked like you. Your progress is amazing. Your body looks really toned.

Thank you both :) I think being able to do these sorts of shots shows a new confidence I didn't have before (if anyone had said that joining this site would help me post pictures of me in my underwear when I signed up here, I never would've done. Which would've been sad), but I'm still working on it. I've always had a bit of a hate-loathe relationship with my body. (To be honest I looked at these, cringed at the stomach- the thighs are worse but I've come to terms with the fact I don't like them- and thought "well, there's the proof needed that I still need to lose a stone")

Time for an update.

I'm currently at 66kg and I'm noticing my gym gear getting quite baggy. Don't know how visible it is. I'm uploading my first shot in gym gear, at 71kg, and another version today at 66kg (loss of 5kg). Sorry about the different formatting of pictures, I've worked out a better way to take pictures of myself since the first ones were taken.
