American diet

hi everybody, I am in USA for 5 months, and can not find a good food for myself, I gained 10 pounds and I need to lose that as soon as possible - I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to have a great body, I don't know what to do now. I can do everything - exercising, starving!!!!! just need an advice, how to start. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read around a lot on this forum and I notice that most new members around here just usually post the same questions which already have been answered numerous time by others (I wonder if trainer Lynn isn't already bored to death by copy and pasting her answers.)

I suggest you first read around here and gather some information (believe me, you'll find it in almost every topic) before you jump in here and ask how to lose weight. Then, if you're still confused about stuff and want some extra info, ofcourse you can ask. And posting your workout routine would also help.

You said you could do anything, including starving yourself. You need to know: STARVING YOURSELF ISN'T THE RIGHT WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT EFFECIENTLY
unless you want to look like a concentration camp victim.

Maverick494... boy did you nail it on the head!

I do get tired of answering essentially the same question over and over and over again. I literally have the "5 Steps to Fat Loss" on my desktop. This way I can just copy and paste. I learned after a few weeks on this board and lots of re-typing things I already typed... that this was a time sucker :)

I do like helping people as much as possible though and get a lot of PM's asking for additional clarification. That makes me feel great because I know people are actually reading my replies...lol.

With that said... I wonder how we can go about getting people to actually learn to post properly (provide details, was this question already answered, etc). I think you brought up a great point.

I created this in the mens nutrition section. I will post it in the female nutrition section as well.

I'm a bit of a forum addict, I'm on all kinds of em (on RP ones too) and on some I put up some rules for posting. Like for RP: posts should be readable and not conist of LMAO, LOL. stuff written like luvU4ever also won't be accepted. That helped a lot.

Maybe we can suggest the mods put up some posting guidelines as well. Like:
1. when posting a question about weight loss, also include the following information: current workout routine, current diet.
2. Please read other topics in the same section before asking your question. This prevents a flood of topics by different users containing the same question.

etc.

Could be an idea. What do you think?

edit: LV already put up the sollution :) *hugs*
