am i overweight or just Paranoid

That gives you a BMI of 19.6, 25 is considered overweight. so you dont need to worry about losing weight. keep a healthy diet and exercise, and you probably never will have to worry about it.

3 pounds gone

i weighed myself this morning and i was 3 pounds less its weird. i weighed 120 a couple days ago. now i weigh 117. i guess i didnt eat much the last few days

Hey Cherrygal,

The "stupid chart", as i like to call it, doesn't take into account muscle and fat ratios. That means that a very muscular but lean person may be classified as overweight but, obviously, there is no need for them to lose fat!

I'm 5'3.5" and 130lbs! I've also been weight training for 6 years...and i wouldn't call myself overweight.

In response to your weight fluctuating - this happens everyday...it's just water weight. I can weight myself in the morning and be 3 pounds heavier by night. The best thing to do is weigh yourself at the same time each day...or don't weigh yourself at all. How you look and how your clothes fit is a much better indication of how your body is changing...remember that the scale only tells you how much you weigh. It doesn't tell you how much of your weight is fat, muscle, bone...

Happy training!

Vanessa

A pic of me OFF-SEASON (lol!)

i agree with vanessa that the BMI system is flawed. i am 5'10, 195 pound male, and according to the BMI, i am way overweight. however, i never thought of myself as overweight having a 32 inch waist.

i was trying to make a point that she cant really be considered overweight by any stretch of the imagination.

The BMI Chart is only a rough outline of being overweight/underweight. I am 5' 5" and 98 lbs. (making me underweight on the BMI chart) but I do not see myself as underweight as all. I eat properly, am always full, and have lots of energy i.e. I am a healthy individual. As long as you feel good and think you look good, the BMI Chart can go f@#$ itself. :D
