I'm 5'9 and 178 pounds, resting heart rate of about 45-48.. i think ive got maybe five to ten pounds of fat left to lose, perhaps slightly less. I work out pretty hard six days a week, I ride about fifteen miles on a stationary bike at 15mph (one hour), and weight train 3 times a week. Thing is, for whatever reason I began being a lot less hungry after i got into this routine (which i have been doing for about two months now) and i dont even really eat lunch anymore - i dont feel hungry then, even a little. Anyhow here's a typical day's eating schedule:
930 - 2 eggs, 1 piece 7-grain toast
1000 - protein shake
330 - some sort of snack, a granola bar or maybe even just some gatorade so that when i start working out at four i have a little bit of extra energy
600 - protein shake, some sort of snack (sometimes cashews, or a can of tuna, or a protein bar if i feel like i really want some chocolate, haha)
830 - some sort of meat, usually chicken or beef, with some veggies (onions, mushrooms, broccoli, etc)
I try not to eat after dinner but if i do its just a small portion cottage cheese if im hungry.
ok so here's the -real- dilemna.. this seems to be working. the way i see it, in a month or so i will be where i want to be.. i am losing fat and building (well more like maintaing because i am not lifting to get bigger anymore) muscle pretty effectively, and im not hungry very often, either - and when i am, i eat. would it be a bad idea to continue like this for another month or so just so i can get down to my target weight, or will it screw with my metabolism? Thanks.
