Am I doing too much?

Currently I do ~40 minutes a day of HIIT, 1:1.

2 minutes warmup

1 minute 9 MPH run
1 minute 3 MPH walk

^ takes about 36 minutes

2 minutes cool down

is this too much, because yesterday I was a little more tired than usuall and my entire body was hurting when I had finished. Not only that, man was I breathing hard...

Yes that is too much, if you are able to do for 40 minutes, I don't think that is is actual Hiit, I only do about 22-25 minutes 2-3 times per week.
 
Well, I dont eat the 6 meals a day thing...so I try to make up for not eating as healthy as that would be by more exerscise.

I do, however eat relativley well, sometimes cheating but not everyday. I rarely eat stuff extremley high in fat content though.

Thanks for the answer, can anyone else give me some advice as well?
 
Alright, so today I changed my routine to:

2 minutes warmup

30 seconds 4mph speed walk
30 seconds 10 mph sprint

go until 25 minutes

2 minutes slow cool down



Well, that hurt...bad. It was more work than anything I have done before...in almost half the time too.
 
I´m glad you changed your routine ;) , I´m not an expert but I can tell you that 40 mins of intense work (I agree that's not HIIT) every day will probably end up injuring yourself soon!!!! :(
