Am i becomming an "isolation whore"?

So since i busted my knee getting hit by a car i havent been doing any lower body exersices. Since i workout with my dad (he drives) ive been having some time to kill in the gym.
I usually do (everything is 3-4x6-10)
Row
Bench/inclined bench
Pullups
If i do flat bench, i do military press.

then the isolation starts
Chest flyes 2x10
rear delt flyes 2x10
Shrugs 3x10
Sometimes i do lateral rises 2x10

Is this overkill? I never feel really sore, a bit stiff at most the day after.
Also, would i be be better off doing more compounds for the upperbody instead of the isolation? adding a few more sets wouldnt take away the intensity of my first sets, since i do every set as hard as possible, but reduce the weight/reps as i go on.

No, I don't see anything wrong with that. Your isolation isn't the first thing you do, and it's not like you're doing 5 or 6 per muscle group. THAT would be an iso whore.
 
I agree with LeiYunFat....i am still a firm believer that isolation exercises have their place in a COMPLETE program......
 
Karks, when you can you start doing some leg and lower back movements?

I tore a knee.. is it called ligament? in my left knee. A tendon that stabalizes the knee anyhow.
Its hard to say, on the 12th of december im gonna head over to the hospital, and hopefully ill get the brace off then, then ill probobly gotta get some rehab.
But im actually more afraid of my right knee, i have a slight pull in one of the tendons there, and from what ive heard, its a bigger problem when they are pulled than when they get torn off.
 
thanks mate. I think its gonna be okay though, the people at the hospital seemed optimistic about it and they said the tendon that tore off will heal 100%. I dunno if there is any exersices you can do to fix the pulled one though.. like some rehab. I think im gonna ask Bill Heartman over at JPfitness.
 
Ahh, that's no fun bro.. Routine does look pretty solid - definately not an isolation whore, bust out the squats once your better, eh? :)
