Hi everyone,
My name is Georgina and I am 5'7'', 192 lbs. I will be 18 in July. This is the heaviest I have ever been and it's starting to really depress me and take its toll on my health (mental and physical).
Before I go into details about weight etc, I'll just tell you about myself a little bit first. I'm from Essex in England, it's about 15 miles from London!
Currently I am unemployed, but I am going to the University of Kent in September to do a degree in English and American Literature - can't wait. I love love love music, especially hip hop, R&B, reggae and ska.
In the past (mostly since the beginning of 2006) I have had eating disorders but I have never been underweight or even below a 23 BMI really. I used to starve, binge, purge in cycles and I even lost my menstrual cycle at one point because I was not eating or drinking anything other than coffee, diet coke, water, bread and raw vegetables. Occaisionally an apple or banana as a 'treat' if I'd lost weight.
Recently I have been over-eating a lot, especially when I feel low, so I suppose I am a bit of a comfort eater. I have piled on 14 lbs in just over 2 months, which I am incredibly upset about because I had recently, for the first time ever, lost some weight healthily at a rate of 2 lbs a week - but I went and put it all back on again.
I am here to try and gain a healthy relationship with food - something I have never had. I also obviously want to lose weight and look and feel great. Making some friends would be a bonus too!
Georgina X
EDIT: If anyone has any advice about how to combat cravings please help me! I LOVE crisps/chips, red wine, sugary cocktails and chocolate - not good, and always craving them! And being my 18th birthday in July I will need to know some low calorie alcoholic drinks that I can enjoy!
