Almost There

I wanted to start a new thread because my old one was messy. I have been weighing around 218-219LBS in the morning that means I have lost more than 32lbs. I wanted to say thank you for all the great information and support. I am not done but I notice a huge difference both visually and how I feel inside. I think a good weight for my body type would be around 210-205 that would put my BMI at 26-27 which is still considered overweight but I understand those things can be flawed. What do you think?

Before 246lbs 11-11-11 219lbs

Well I am down to 210lbs I have been here for over a week it feels good to be making progress

12/09/2011 210lbs

Pretty good man!

Definitely looking great.

You could get away with 205, but i think maybe you could push a little lower. Either way, you're going to look really good, but I never advocate to settle when dealing with weight loss. You've proven you can do it -- push the rest of the way ;).

Thanks man! it has been a hard 7 months but totally worth it. I am going to continue doing what I do and see where it takes me. I am very hard on myself and need to give myself a break at times. I am thankful for all the info on this forum and for all the help.

Yeah, it gets a bit easier though as you start to feel it as more of your everyday routine rather than something you force yourself to do. You eventually start to miss it if you're unable to do it for misc reasons. It becomes an addiction in sort - a healthy addiction! :)

I was always really hard on myself too. I guess it just stems from a life of feeling like I was less than nothing because that's how people outside of family always treated me. You start believing it because it's all you know. The little man in your head constantly telling you that you don't deserve something. That you're not worth the effort or time it takes.

Bullshit.

What you do is punch that little prick out and instill a focus in you that tells you nothing in the past matters and it's all about what happens in the future.

Your before/after pictures are awesome and you're awesome!

Keep up the amazing work, bud!

Thanks everyone. I am around 6ft 2. I have changed so much in my life in the last six months, it sometimes feels like a dream. I am setting a short term goal of another 10lbs and I will see what happens then. I can tend to be over focused and sort of obsess over weight loss and working out so i need to just keep getting healthier.

I have been noticing that I am very strict with my diet. For example if I need to eat but say there is only pizza I will simply not eat. Any advice out there from people that have strict diets? I recently starting doing HIIT on a treadmill I run at 8mph for a 1 min and walk at 3mph for 1min I set the ramp to 1.5 incline, I try to do this for around 25 to 30 mins it really kicks my ass. I'm down to 210lbs I can't believe I am down this low it has been like at least six years.

Hey maui!

Well if you're having trouble with temptation, I would definitely recommend gum chewing.

I'm very strict about my consumption Mon - Sat, and evening times can be pretty rough some days.

But gum really helps!
