Who am I? I'm Ally and I am a 20 year old college student. I have an amazing boyfriend and we have a little 6 week old kitten. In high school, I had weight issues and suffered from several horrible eating disorders. Well, at age 19 I went to a treatment center for my bulimia and I haven't purged since Easter. Ever since entering treatment, 10 months ago, I have not seen how much I weigh. It's been hard to let go of the scale and the numbers but at the same time it was a nice release.

Why am I here? I have an amazing boyfriend as I previously stated who loves to cook his home cookin, Louisiana dishes. Jambalaya, red beans and rice, alfredo, ect. I have switched him to turkey sausage but it's still hard because the food is so good that I want to eat more! I am in decent shape but I know my eating could be vastly improved and my exercise... well that doesn't even exist.

Goals? I am going to measure my waist and use that to keep myself healthy. My main goal is to eat as little sugar and bad carbs as possible. I also want to work out at least 3 times a week. I also only want to eat 2 snacks a day. I will keep a food journal here and an exercise journal.

Hi Ally,

As a past bulimic as well, I know how stressful dieting can be. I think measuring your waist and going by that is a great way to track how you're doing - whenever I get on a scale I get a little freaked out and I know that measurements are less likely to push me over the edge!

Good luck and I'm sure you will see results as long as you stick with it! Being healthy is a wonderful thing. :)
