After Marriage Weight

Hey Everyone!

I'm so glad I found a forum I can read while at work :). So, I just got married less then 9 months ago and I've already gained 20 pounds! I can't even believe it. At Christmas I'll be going home to see everyone I last saw when I was tiny and I'll just die or just laugh if someone thinks I'm pregnant haha. Anyway, I've always considered myself a healthy person until now. My husband hates most anything healthy and it's become much more convenient to eat junk, not too mention with work and school I no longer workout like I used to. I was also just diagnosed with hypothyroidism. SO, with those three strikes against me, not counting my office job, I gained fast! So, I've made a pre New Years resolution to lose the weight and keep it off! I'd like to lose at least 10 pounds before Christmas. I have 3 weeks! I started at 157 and I'm down to 153. I became serious yesterday and I'm all about counting the calories and keeping them low...if I could just control my snack attacks in the evening! Any tips? Oh and my new excercise motivator is sadly enough my husbands Wii haha...I actually work up a sweat on that thing and do a few excercises on the side just to top it off.

Thanks for your support! I'm so excited to be on here!

When I crave something sweet, I eat yogurt ! I dunno maybe something in my brain triggers it as ice cream? WHO KNOWS !! Frozen yogurt is a nice snack alternative... or I eat popcorn instead of chips ! and if I reallly want chips it's like nachos... or eat veggies and dip ! that's a REALLY yummy snack... I don't know how the calories thing works ! I don't count em ! but I hope some of this helped?

Thanks! Actually you reminded me, I used to freeze yogurt and take it with me to work and school. 1. it does fool you a bit into thinking that it's "frozen yogurt" and 2. it takes longer to eat which is just always better in my book.
