advice

Alright i'm 21 years old. About a year and a half ago i weighed 230lbs. I changed my diet by cutting out ALL junk food and soda and just drinking water and eating home cooked meals (usually just pasta, chicken, steak etc for dinner and eggs, sandwiches etc for lunch and in the mornings just a coffee and a small snack.) So now i currently weigh 175lbs (i'm about 6'1). Now during this weight loss period i didnt do any workouts, i just changed my diet. At 175lbs there is still a lot of fat around by chest and belly (my legs and arms are pretty lean). This leads me to believe that i lost a lot of muscle during this weight-loss period (and undoubtably i lost a lot of fat aswell). Now i want to start lifting weights and build some muscle. I was just wondering if you people think it would be better to lose the excess fat around my belly and chest area first or should i just begin to bulk and then start to cut when i'm happy with the amount of muscle i gained? Would beginning to lift weights help get rid of the excess fat?

thanks!! (sorry for the essay)

Yeah definately combine weight lifting with weight loss, will generally help tone you up, and will help you lose your weight too!

dont bulk up ie eat more,if you still have some fat then you are probably still in exess caloreis, just add some weight training and see how you go on.
