advice

alrite guys, rite i shall start at the beginning, im a 35 year old guy, and im just starting out down the gym, now this is the facts, i think ive eaten a very good diet for many years now, but bascially im told i look young for my age and i am 5ft 9 with an average frame. bascially i do not want to be a muscle head as such i want something thats gonna suit me and my size. im looking to look very well defined with a little bit of good muscle, very athletic looking and lean and healthy. at the mo ive been going gym 5 days a week for two months, and theyve given me a circuit to do every morning of those which consists of around 30 mins cardio, thats 20 mins treadmill and 10 mins cycle (not inc warm ups) and then i do 3 sets of ten for various stuff of light weights and then about 100 various mixes of crunches for my stomache. my diet consists of morning two poached eggs and granary toast, then a banana orange juice, 3 creatine capsules before gym, then another 3 when ive finished. then i have a bowl of wholegrain ceral with semi skimmed milk, later lunch is usually a chicken or tuna roll with a little mayo and lots of salad, dinners usually a jacket potato or pasta with fish or chicken maybe a steak once a week lots of veg and a yoghurt in the night time, and about 3 litres of water a day. is this sounding ok to get the result i want or is there any need for any fine tuning and improvments, i wanna be looking hot for when i go to greece in the summer.

We are nearly the same...im 33, 5'9 160 pounds and folks think im in great shape however im trying to put on a little muscle for the summer. What you described doest sound bad, but you need to do less cardio (unless you are trying to lose weight) and you need more protein. Just my take, but then again im beginning too.

cheers ima, well i was drinking a protein shake a day but i dropped it and started taking the creatine capsules instead now as i was advised this gets really good results after a couple of months into it. i mean theres protein in the eggs, protein although not the best protein in the ceral, protein in the lunch of chicken or tuna and protein in the dinner as in the fish or chicken or steak, and i keep hearing this about the cardio, but, ive been advised to keep my health in maximum tip top condition this is the best way, plus also, to make sure i have a very lean stomache to achieve a six pack. i dont no im no expert this is y im fishing round for tips on here

Cheers as well Dee Dee-

I think the creatine does work as i started taking it too (it actually comes in my protein powder) and it seems like im able to squeeze out a few more reps because of it. I havent tried the capsules, but if i may look for some. I think you're work out/diet sounds fine, but if you find yourself not gaining the muscle you want, maybe start back drinking the protein shake every day (and keep everything else the same).

well, im here in the uk and i get my creatine capsules from holland and barrett the make is body fortress and each capsule contains 700mg of creatine monohydrate. i have heard that this is good compared to normal creatine pills which r usually frowned upon and the best qualtiy is in powder form but i really dont fancy mixing my own up, its so easy to just pop them half hour before going down to the gym
