advice on flattening my chest?

Hey. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this could be gene deformity. Some men just end up developing man boobs. I was reading this article online about it the other day. It was a list of "weird" but very common deformities. On the other hand, I thought my current bf was doomed to have "man boobs" (he was 6'3 and 235) but he started running and fell in love with it. Now he runs 6 miles 3 times a week and his man boobs are almost gone! Just running off the fat melted his man boobs. Try stepping up the cardio to see the best results.

decrease overall body fat?

I say increase protein intake, increase cardio, and do some weight training so you don't lose any muscle, while burning that embrassing fat.

Losing a ton of muscle really isn't much of a risk when you're carrying around a good bit of fat.

This is starting to get into a depressing thing. So Now the guy that posted about getting surgery is the only way to get rid of them really makes it seem like all the cardio and going to the gym is worth nothing. I do not have money to get surgery for this problem I was hoping just to end up losing them by going to the gym a lot.

you're not alone..man!i've the same problem. but the origin of my problem is a bit different than yours. when i was skinny, i did a lot of chest excercises which inclues improper push ups and a lot more similar to that.my pecs were a little poped up but as i was skinny it was not noticeable .but now i've gained some weight and suddenly my pecs poped up a lot.they look like boobs.the more embarrasing side is- it is clearly noticeabe from every kind of clothes.i'm confused wether to do incline press and flys or not because i've heard that it'll make boobs more noticeable and gives body an improper shape.but cardio is fine and i'm playing a lot of soccer right now.
so,i think you should forget about the gym and go for more cardio.

any suggestions for me..go for it guys!!!

Hi guys I too am working on losing weight and flattening my chest as I have slight man-boobs. When I go to the gym I start with Weights and do 6 sets, then onto the benchpress, also 6 sets. Then I do a 600m row, a cycle for ten minutes, also do various other chest and arm excercise (dont know the name!) and then go for a 1.2km run, then a light cycle again for 10minutes. This is all in a period between 4.10-5.10, twice a week. This has worked fairly well but would like to make it more effective but in the same time period. Can you suggest any ways of improving this workout.

Cheers Guys

Hey man,

Lose fat by eating less and build muscle by training hard.

As someone stated, by eating less you will reduce fat from all around your body including your chest.

Progressively lift heavy weights to maintain (build muscle).

Cardio can help to (I do lots of walking).

Cheers,

Mark
