I'm looking for a little advice on my diet and exercises plan. I'm a 40, 6' tall, 180lb male and I consider myself in pretty good shape. My diet is 1 banana for breakfast with about 8-10oz of 50% less sugar Tropicana OJ. Lunch is a 80 calorie Dannon light & fit greek yogurt, an Apple, a 100 calorie bag of pretzels, and 32oz of water. Dinner consists of either a chicken breast and 2 or 3 small baked potatos (no butter, cheese, or toppings added) or egg whites and frozen pees with about 14-18oz of skim milk. I also eat a handful of peanuts, raisins, or almonds throughout the day. I do cheat on my diet on the weekends often. Maybe Pizza one night and sub or fast food another.
Now for the workout. I run about 20 miles a week spread throughout 4 days. Long day is around 8 miles and short day is around 2.5 miles. Then I lift pretty hard 2 days for about and hour and half each day. I take 1 day off a week and do nothing.
I'd love to hear what you think about my diet and exercise and would love advice on improving it. I sometimes feel I have a little too much belly fat more specifically my love handles. I'd love to be able to lose those. I also sometimes I feel a little drained with all the workout I do. I especially feel I should be losing more weight then I do considering my diet and exercise plan. To give you and idea my weight fluctuates between 178-181lbs on this diet. That's after 5 months of it. If I don't diet or exercise at all and go out to eat all the time eating pizza and fast food my weight sits around 198lbs.
