How does the media portray weight, gender, and body image? This is an issue that has been discussed for many years now, and yet advertisements are still being made, promoted, and then pulled from the air/print for their problematic messages. The most recent is this yogurt ad,
What do you think this is saying about these issues--weight, gender, and body image? Should it have been pulled from the air? Are there others that you've seen that have been problematic in their message?

I dont' see how reaching for a healthy snack instead of cheesecake is ever a bad thing?

I love how this commercial got yanked because people complained about it "sending the wrong message," but these same people who are complaining probably have nooooo problem with the horribly over-sexed and underdressed pre-teen girls that their kids watch on the Disney Channel every single day.

I'll say it once and I'm sure I'll say it a million more times before I die - people looooove to bitch about nothing.
