College can be very, very hectic but you need to find the balance in your schedule. Take a few minutes and schedule your meals and your exercise routines into your class schedule and stick to it. Alot of the chaos that goes with college is a lack of organization and a lack of stick-to-it-ness. (I know, I was there, and probably still have the flab to prove it)

Get super organized and you will stop feeling that you have no control over your life. AND!!! Do not let yourself revert back to your old fat self. You worked to hard to let a little thing like college take away your skinny-ness.

Take control!!

*hugs*

Weight Loss and School/LIfe

One of the tough things about weight loss is that it has to be maintained. I am a61 yr. old schoolteacher who still has to lose 100 lbs--I have just lost 40 lbs., 100 more to go! I commend you on being able to get all that weight off. Now you need to make sure you can keep the loss and no re-gain. Maintaining is almost as hard as losing the weight in the first place.

I think it comes down to making weight loss/maintaninance a priority. It has to come first, even before all of your college obligations. Being healthy, happy, looking good and feeling good, have to come before everything else. You need to stop the merry-go-round of your life for a few hours or days and think it out and figure out how you can re-arrange your life so that you can maintain the weight loss. It won't do you any good to get a term paper in on time, or pass a test or whatever else you are doing if your health and your self-image are impaired.

Your lack of motivation comes from the weight gain. Weight messes with our self-image and sense of competency as well as our sense of deserving good things. The weight gain tends to make you want to give up and gain more. NOW is the time to turn all that around. Think of it as an experiment. Try eating right and exercising for just ONE WEEK and then see how you feel. Tell yourself that you can always go back to caving in to life's chaos if you don't feel better at the end of the week.

Do whatever you have to do, including dropping out if necessary, to take charge of your health. Nothing else will work very well if you don't have a healthy body. Put yourself first, everything else will be easier if you do.
