Alright, the other day during a soccer match, me and an opponent went up for a header, and he came down on my heel. It hurt really bad at the time, but that happens a lot with injuries, so I just kept playing until the pain stopped. I still had a couple scratch marks from the cleats that bled, but that's about it. I played the rest of the game, and it didn't really bother me too much.
Now, on the next few days, I continued my workout of about 3-6 miles a day and nothing really seemed awry till about Wednesday of that week, which is the 2nd day of running I guess. Anyway, my ankle started hurting about halfway through the run, so I finished and didn't think about it after that. The next day, my ankle hurt from the very beginning, but I went through with just a 3 mile run that day, hoping it was just tight from the day before. I noticed that after both of these runs, my Achilles tendon was doing some type of squeaking thing.
Anyway, I went to the doctor, and he didn't give me ANY information what-so-ever. He literally said, 'I don't know what to say.' And that was literally all the information I got from the doctor. Even after telling him that my foot was squeaking and whatnot. I stayed off of it for about a week, played a soccer game, and the next day was feeling the pain. My parents called a different doctor and asked, and they said I just have to wait out the pain, but still no diagnosis as to WHAT it was. So, here I am, I can't really do any running, or playing on my ankle, as it hurts and my ankles making a constant squeaking feeling.
So, that's why I came here. Hopefully, you all will have a little more insight than my doctor who apparently didn't know much. What is the best thing to do? Can I still exercise on it, on say, stationary bikes or something? Since I won't be able to run for the next few weeks, I need some cardio exercises so I don't get out of shape, and the only one I thought of was stationary cycling. Obviously, it'll have to be something that doesn't move my achilles tendon much at all, or put any strain on it.
Any insight that you guys can give, or help, would be very appreciative. Thanks.
